My audible alarm does not work on the 2005 V!
Cadillac issued a PI (preliminary information bulletin) on 9/8/04 that allows the technicians to use the OBD II Handheld to activate it on the RIM (Rear Information Module).
The factory did not have the ability to activate it because the new instructions & software for the 2005s was not available at build time. The new PI issued contains those details and will allow everyone with a 2005 CTS/CTS-V to get their alarm enabled.

Go to the dealer and they will be able to update the RIM (rear integration module) on the Car to enable the audible alarm
